to make disciples and start churches in Durham Region that will bring community to the lonely, purpose to the aimless, salvation to the hopeless, and abundant life to everyone. Fellowship Oshawa is has community small groups that meet together and strive to be an extension of the church on their streets. These "Lighthouses" are homes where anyone can gather together to grow in their relationship with God and then go out to broadcast the light of Jesus to their neighbors and friends.
Jared & Jen Huntley moved to Oshawa, Ontario to help start a church plant with a heart for people far from God. They desire to love, care and pray for everyone who crosses their paths. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out. The main church email is: firstname.lastname@example.org
Jared surrendered his life to Jesus in 2011 and heard God’s call to preach and teach the Gospel shortly after. He and his wife, Jen, moved to the Durham region from Texas in June of 2015 to respond to the Lord’s call to plant churches and make disciples in Canada. Jared graduated from Howard Payne University with a Bachelor of Arts in Bible and is currently attending Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary pursuing a Masters of Divinity in North American Church Planting. Jared was commissioned by the Fellowships Network, and was sent out by Fellowship Pickering to church plant in Oshawa in the spring of 2016.

Jen grew up in Pennsylvania, and later moved to Texas after getting her Bachelor’s in Cinema & Photography at Ithaca College and working 4 summers at a Christian Camp. She continued in full time camp ministry 4 years before meeting her husband Jared, marrying, and moving to Ontario. Jen loves everything creative, especially when she can make something that shines the light of Christ for others to see. She hopes to be Jesus’ hands and feet wherever He calls her to serve. Jen leads the women's ministries and handles all of the tech and media for Fellowship Oshawa.

Fellowship Oshawa adheres to the statement of beliefs as set forth by the Canadian National Baptist Convention (CNBC). The statement of faith in its full can be found at this link.
We believe that there is one God Who has and always will eternally exist in three Persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, the Holy Trinity. He created everything that was made. We affirm that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are equal and of the same substance.
We believe that the condition of mankind is such that sin has separated us from a right relationship with our Creator. We affirm that all men and women are born into sin which results in both a physical death and a spiritual death.
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully man, that He lived a perfect and sinless life on earth, and that He was crucified by Pontius Pilate for the forgiveness of our sins.
We believe that God raised Jesus Christ from the dead three days later, and that He is seated at the right hand of God and will return again to judge the world and gather His saints.
We believe that a man or woman is saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone. One must turn from their sins and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation from the punishment of sin and the gift of eternal life.
We believe that Heaven and Hell are real places and that every individual will spend eternity in one or the other. Those who have trusted in Jesus Christ will go on to spend eternity in heaven while those who have rejected Jesus Christ will spend eternity in hell.
We believe in the personal and visible return of Jesus Christ to earth and the establishment of His kingdom. We believe in the resurrection of the body, the final judgment, the eternal felicity of the righteous, and the eternal punishment of the unredeemed.
We believe that the term “marriage” has only one meaning: a covenant between one man and one woman, in a single exclusive union, by which their status changes from two individuals to one flesh as God joins them together.
